8 cups firm tart apples,
peeled & sliced
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2/3 cup sifted all-purpose
flour
2 cups uncooked oats
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2/3 cup melted butter
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
In 9 x 12 glass baking dish,
combine apples,
sugar and lemon juice and
set aside
In another bowl combine flour,
oats, brown sugar,
salt and cinnamon. Toss in
melted butter until
mixture resembles coarse
crumbles.
Top apples with oat mixture.
Bake 30-35 minutes, until
apples are tender.
Serve
warm with heavy cream or ice cream.
